I feel like Christmas is soon but I know Thanksgiving is sooner and I'm just really excited about it and I am already thinking up some crafts for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I really like giving presents but buying a present for so many people would be so much money so I'm thinking that I can use recycled materials and make something fabulous for people's presents. An example is making a doll house with an old book shelf and some art supplies. Plus homemade crafts are the best for sentimental people especially if you really put time into the present to make it perfect. But then there's people who you can't give a present to because they live far but if you're an artsy person like me you could make them a virtual Christmas card with maybe a song or poem attached that you wrote. You're probably wondering why not just send them a paper card? Well a moneyless card is usually not a smile send unless you're someone they don't talk to alot and just seeing that you remembered them on Christmas is awesome. As for grandparents giving to their far away grand kids packages are so exciting and if you want to save money send them a creative collection of stuff from the dollar store. Picking people out gifts is much better than giving them $20 because you can find stuff worth $20 that is actually much less. For example I found a pillow pet at goodwill for $4 which was originally $20 and all I had to do was wash it. I'm not saying everyone has to do this I just think it's a nice idea for anyone who's into saving money. Sorry for such a long article but I think it's worth reading it all if you want to give more presents this year!

I am really happy about getting these new skirts and I am also modeling my new shoes! Let me know which skirt you like the most in the comments! (C.c was my photographer.) Sorry if some pictures are dark. All skirts except the long black and white one are from Catofashions.com and the other one is from Burlington Coat Factory. I had planned on wearing different color shirts with each one but I couldn't find them all. I think I'm returning the last skirt down there though because of the length.
Have school at the library I love the library, it is like one of my favorite places. I don't know why but I just like doing school there. I like hearing the sound of toddlers playing and people happily talking at the front desk and pages turning. Then after I'm done I'll try to find a book to read. I'm REALLY picky with books so it's hard to find one. Last time I checked out five and ended up reading only one and one of my sister's books. Learn something interesting Like today I was doing History and they were talking about different accounts of the flood by three different records No tests Tests... no explanation needed. Today was a pretty cool day, we went shopping, then went home and C.c made sushi (the picture to the left is what my dad made) and I tried a speck of smoked salmon and it was delicious so I tried a piece of sushi and it was good but I don't like how it's so much in your mouth. And the seaweed is chewy but it tasted so good! I actually used to have a sushi haters club because last time I tried sushi I hated it, but it could be that certain kind of sushi. We even had little nick-names like mine was Ke-su-ha which is short for Kelsie Sushi Hater. Oh, and about the shopping, I got some shoes that look good on me and a yellow shirt that I'm going to put with a skirt that's coming in the mail from CATO so after I get all that I will put together outfits and take pictures of each one and show you my new wardrobe! (I'm donating most of my old one) I'm really excited and I can't wait until they get here! With fall right around the corner I thought I'd introduce some unique fall items that have hit the shelves and tables of restaurants and shops! (Btw if you do not agree with what I say below please forgive me we all have our own opinions, which make us who we are) Pumpkin Spice Soap I don't know about you but I have never heard of pumpkin smelling good. I mean this is not a candle. It's soap. And I think it would be kind of creepy having someone smell your hand. I guess it can be used like a decoration when people come over for thanksgiving but seriously I've seen people come out the bathroom smelling their hand and it's weird. (Especially if they're so fascinated they want you to smell their hand) Pumpkin Spice Latte Sometimes I wonder if anyone really likes pumpkin lattes or if they are just drinking them to be mainstream. I mean, if you really liked them wouldn't you drink them year round? Like hot cocoa is usually drank when it's cold but people still drink it sometimes in other seasons. It could be because of pumpkins being in season in fall but seriously this is a pumpkin obsession! Okay, Okay, maybe I should try a pumpkin latte before judging but pumpkin and coffee sounds strange. Pumpkin Spice Bagels This one sounds like it could be good... but just think about it... Why would you buy a whole bag of pumpkin bagels. These are like the kind of thing you try and either like or don't like and I wouldn't waste money buying the whole bag with the risk of wasting so much. Also If I was THOMAS I wouldn't make these because I'm positive very few people buy these but I guess seeing as the picture is taken in someone's house somebody did buy a bag. Pumpkin Spice Margarine Perfect for topping your pumpkin spice bagels! This is just... I can't even think of how to describe this stuff. You just tell me in the comments what you think of the idea of pumpkin margarine Press Read more to continue! Or if you already did thank you!
Last Saturday my friend came to our house and we had such a good time! First we went to Congo river mini golf and we got to hold a baby gator!! and we had so much fun playing mini golf and doing the scavenger hunt. Then we came home and made pizzas (I think we all made one) and talking about things teen girls like talking about and doing a little bit of internet (all together not separate) and we decorated a cupcake and hand-sewed barbie clothes (if we did actual clothes it'd be a waste of fabric and take too long) and then we ended the day with a movie and fell asleep. The next day we went to church then after church we went to Jason's Deli and we all got soup and salad. I got chicken chili, C.C got french onion soup, and our friend got Seafood gumbo. The french onion soup was waaaaaaaaaaaaay too salty so she had to trade it for seafood gumbo. After we had Jason's free ice cream and then went home. After we got home we were just lounging around and then not too long after she got picked up. (more pics coming soon) Fall
Fall is starting supposedly, 28th of September I see That is, for Canada and United States But who should set such dates? I say the fall is here when the leaves start to die And all the cold breeze starts to blow them down When they all are heading to the ground Then the children start to run and play Throwing the leaves high and in the air And who could forget about the Fall Fair? Rides, Music, Treats, and Lights Oh what a sight! Fall is when Summer waves goodbye and all the kids with swimming pools cry for it is getting much to cold to swim About time to put on jackets before heading to the jungle gym! But most important of all.. Fall is the season of harvest when the farmers pick their pumpkins All kinds of foods we eat to live Farmers have spent many hours perfecting and caring for our food, that they have God has given them water seeds, and soil Which they use! That we need! That is why we give thanks on one very important day The day we call Thanksgiving A day when family and friends come together Feast and Fun going all around Though some have such fun on this day they do it just for tradition Forgetting about the real reason Look at the blessings all around you If only shoes on your feet Though life may have it's ups and downs The sun is sure to come around with a smile for your face So be Thankful this season and Give God Thanks! ~The End~ Step 1: Make a list of who you want to invite. If two of your friends think badly of each other you should take the main person to the side beforehand and talk to them about it and hopefully diminish the dislike that person has for the other. Make sure it's okay with everyone who lives with you if you have this sleepover. Your parents may want to make rules such as to go to bed before midnight and clean up any trace of the party. If you have a sibling of opposite gender you could organize for him/her to spend the night with one of their friends or a family member. Remember to only invite as many people as you have room for. It's okay to only invite one or two friends. Step 2: Pick a theme. Do you want to have an ordinary sleepover? If so you may still want a color theme. Such as pink; you would then make everything pink that you're using: Pink treats, pink nail polish (If you are planning on makeup as an activity), pink invitations, pink drinks, and pink utensils/plates/bowls. If you want an actual pinterest is a great place to find inspirational pictures and ideas from various blogs. Step 3: Check the details and then send! Find a date good for everyone. After figuring out the date and time of arrival and pick up you can send the invitations by phone, email, letter, or in person. Step 4: Menu A common mistake is to forget about breakfast when planning the sleepover menu. You will need to plan dinner if they come at or before 5pm. You also will need snacks and perhaps popcorn or chips for a movie. Example: Dinner - Pizza and soda Snacks - Popcorn, Bottle caps, and icecream Breakfast - Waffles with choice of toppings: strawberry, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, caramel. ~Or for a slightly healthier approach~ Dinner - Pizza and Juice Boxes Snacks - trail mix, popcorn, real fruit Popsicles Breakfast - Omelets: They get to pick what's in their omelet then either you or they make it. Step 5: Activities Pick out movies, board games, crafts, and activities that match your theme. Make sure that your guests are allowed to do each activity so they don't feel awkward or pressured. Today I have turned 15. I don't know what I'm going to do for my birthday today just that were doing some stuff with 2-3 of my friends next Saturday. 15 isn't a big deal to me celebration wise but it's an excuse to hangout with your buddies. Sorry about no posts in a while, I thought of some to do but didn't get around to actually doing them.
Today my mom and I went shopping. It was fun and we got stuff for my sleepover next Saturday from Micheal's Craft Store. I am so excited about it. We're actually not having a party for my birthday just a really small sleepover but I put together some stuff for us to do!
I also put walkee-talkees, gum, and would put movies, popcorn bags, and candy
Compost is a good way of not wasting your produce scraps and is really good fertilizer for plants. If you eat alot of veggies and fruits I suggest doing this. How to make a compost pile You need: Grass clippings Newspaper and/or Dried Leaves Produce Scraps Water How-to: In a compost bin or a spot in your backyard mix together all the things above besides water then dampen everything with the water and if possible please cover with more leaves. every now and then you need to mix it up, you can use a shovel but some compost bins have a handle you can use to make it spin. You also will need to dampen each time you add more produce or leaves. Disclaimer: I'm not a professional AT ALL. This is just what I learned earlier today from offline. If I missed a spot write it in the comments below. And yes that is my compost pile in the picture above. |
