A whole chicken
A stick of butter or more if its a turkey (softened)
Mix butter with poultry seasoning (as much as you want) Then take the chicken (washed) and put the butter under the skin and in the cavity along with chopped onion and garlic also in the cavity
Now take the salt and thyme and put it all over the top of the skin
Don't worry about too much salt it makes the skin crispy.
Cook the poultry breast side down on 350 for an hour or more depending on how much it weighs.
Test with a meat thermometer.
